Jonathan Helmuth is a serial entrepreneur, founder of Pinball Run Films, and artist

Jon has lead a unique life- his father was born into the Amish, and Jon was raised in Mennonite traditions. He studied Liberal Arts at Hesston College, in Kansas and Fine Art at Goshen College in Indiana.

In 2002, Jon used his art education and the basics of the art process—creativity, attention to detail, planning and reinvention—to start Genesis Products, a manufacturing company based in the Midwest. Jon served as founder and President, performing in lead management roles, R & D, Product Design, Vendor and Customer development, as well as overseeing the growth of the company in Executive functions. In 2007, Genesis was honored to be listed in the Inc. 500 as the 8th fastest-growing manufacturing company in the US, with an unprecedented 846% growth rate between 2003-2007. Genesis has continued to grow, with over 1000 employees and 9 locations in the US.

In 2013, Jon sold his stake in the company to its shareholder group, informally ‘retired’ and began looking for new ways to engage in his creative and business passions. Since then, he has successfully owned and managed a hometown record store, a ERP software company, and a property management company.

In 2014, Mr. Helmuth founded Pinball Run Films, a boutique film company based in the Midwest. Pinball Run Films' first project was a highly-awarded documentary The Flying Dutchmen (2016) that garnered strong critical and audience acclaim. Jon was also an Executive Producer on Life at These Speeds starring Sam Rockwell, the Lionsgate film ACTS of VIOLENCE starring Bruce Willis, ESCAPE PLAN 3 starring Sylvester Stallone, UNTOGETHER with Jamie Dornan- and most recently, BOSS LEVEL starring Mel Gibson.

As an artist at heart, in recent years Jon has taken up his brush to create curated acrylic paintings for friends and family. Jon spends his free time with his family, as well as working with creative teams on private, business and community collaborations, City planning directorship, Collegiate boards, and local charities
